Forever Lovestruck’s Top 7 Wedding Bloggers

If you’re currently planning your wedding, you will have without doubt come across hundreds of blogs packed full of advice and tips for just about any aspect of wedding planning.  With a growing number of top wedding blogs available, bloggers continue to push their imagination and our aspirations to the next level, providing their own unique take on the wedding planning process.  Lucky us!  At a click of a button we have access to entire libraries of images, styling guides, planning tips, the latest trends and access to REAL weddings!

I’ve put together a list of my favourite wedding bloggers who ooze inspiration and offer up tons of tips to plan the wedding of your dreams, no matter what the theme, style, budget or location. Some of the sites are the most popular and trafficked bloggers on the Web, while others are smaller bloggers with a unique point of view that really touch my heart.

Rock and Roll Bride

If you fancy a wedding with a twist, then this is the one for you. Rock and Roll Bride feature couples who opt for alternative weddings. My favourite was the ‘Dinosaur and Superhero’s wedding’, but this was one of many; others that also featured were a three-day glamping wedding, gothic weddings in cemeteries and museums, witchery and nautical weddings, rock and roll weddings, carnival weddings and even a cat-themed wedding!

If this doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, I’d still advise you to take a peek as not only are their blogs unique, but can also provide you with a ton of ideas and DIY tips on how to do things differently.  This really is the ‘go to’ place if you want a wedding with a difference!

Wedding Sparrow

Wedding Sparrow started out as a one-woman blog site and has grown into a one-stop shop for all your wedding needs. With a strapline of ‘A Fine Art Curation’, the site exudes style and sophistication.  The owner, Sara Russell, was initially inspired to write a blog around wedding photography.  Since then, her blogs have exploded and she shares a wealth of ideas around DIY wedding tips, suppliers, bridal style and planning.

Wedding Bros

We have to remember that the BIG day is not just all about the bride!  The groom may need some help as well!  You may be surprised to hear that there’s a wealth of blogs out there aimed purely at helping the men get what they want too from their BIG day.  This one particularly caught my eye as it’s not laid out in a traditional ‘wedding’ style; it developed when the owners, who worked in wedding photography, realised that there was a desperate need to serve the other important person at a wedding – the groom!  Hence Wedding Bros was born, and this site certainly covers everything for the men, from proposals to style to gadgets.

Wedding Chicks

These gals offer lots of advice, from inspiration pre- and post-wedding to planning the whole day and up-and-coming wedding trends.  What I love about this site is the downloadable ‘FREE’ templates; from ‘Save the Date’ to ‘Thank you’ cards, they’ve got the whole wedding journey covered.

The title of this blog needs no explanation! This is an amazing, global, gay wedding site designed to show great photography and awesome LGBT weddings/commitment ceremonies/civil unions that are just oozing style and edge.  It covers everything from the traditional to the unique.

It’s designed to both inform and inspire you for everything you need for the BIG day.  This includes styling and lots of it, LBGT culture and showcasing real couples who have remained true to themselves and their stories.  And, of course, it’s up-to-date on where gay marriage is legal across the globe.  A truly inspirational site where there are some great ideas, no matter what your sexuality.

Junebug Weddings

What makes this blogger stand out is that the site identifies nearby suppliers based on your location, which means you can start to check out recommended suppliers (and not just based in the USA).  They also have a great ‘recently engaged’ checklist that provides you with advice on what to do as soon as you get engaged, timeline creation and the ultimate wedding checklist that will help to keep you sane!

The name here says it all!  This site is great for providing ideas on everything, from colour schemes to cakes and the dress to transportation.  The blog page is packed full of quirky ideas that you don’t often see at weddings, such as a monochrome and colour pop scheme, a cake made of doughnuts and even a bouquet made from baubles!  The blogs are all categorised, so you don’t have to sift through every single one; and they also have an online magazine, which is jam-packed with even more ideas; and, best of all, it’s free, so no need to even subscribe!

Forever Lovestruck

Yes, I’m pretty biased, but of course I have to put this one in!   Although the blog page is still relatively new, I’m passionate about providing brides, grooms and civil partners with as much information as possible to help them plan their BIG day.  I’ve started very heavily on why Koh Tao is the perfect destination for a wedding, but keep reading and you’ll see lots of top tips coming soon!
